Birthing (part 2)

As we witness the birth of a brand new year, I want to continue with some thoughts related to my last post, regarding the process of birthing. I believe that giving birth to our visions and inspirations parallels the process of giving birth to a baby. There are some distinct stages in the birthing process that make the birthing process unique.

The first stage of birthing, Conception: Long before someone or something is born outwardly to the world, they or it are first conceived inwardly in the heart and in the mind.

Birthing (part 1)

What a great joy it was to be in the room shortly after my daughter, Brittany, gave birth to my first grandchild, a girl named Sydelle. What a new bundle of life she was, fully alive, and within a few moments of her birth she was trying to comprehend her new environment. Some babies seem to be in a bit of a daze after birth (understandably so) having been traumatized by the whole experience.

Finding your Focus

As I sit to prepare this blog, I am very aware that if I am going to succeed in the completion of it, I must find my focus. The ability to focus is an amazing capacity that resides in the human personality.  It is the enabling factor which aids us in the concentration of our thoughts or energy towards a given subject or matter. One of the best things we can do in life is to learn to utilize this capacity.
