Testimonies
Hi everyone, my name is Tatiana Posada and I’m really thankful for having the opportunity to share my testimony with all of you.
I grew up in a broken home with no father in my life. This was something that affected me greatly. Ever since I was a young girl, I always wanted a father and never had the chance to have one. My mother was a single mother taking care of my brother and I. I’ve seen the struggles that she had to go through and I began to feel so angry towards my father because he was never there for us. I had a void in my heart because of an absent father so I became rebellious.
He is the father to the fatherless. Psalm 68:5
In high school I began to smoke marijuana almost everyday. I was also very insecure about my outer appearance and began to hate things about myself. My relationship with my mother wasn’t going well, I was disobedient and so I began to do whatever I wanted to do. At the time I thought that smoking was a way for me to get away from my problems. I got into a relationship with my boyfriend at the time and we started smoking together and spending so much time with him to the point where I didn’t care about anyone else but him. I felt like my life wasn’t getting any better, so I began to cry out to God and wanted to feel like I was accepted.
A friend of mine invited me to church and I gave my life to Christ. I tried so many things to make me feel complete and it all didn’t work, that’s until I decided to give Jesus a try. I’ve never experienced the love of God in my life. It’s the most incredible feeling I have ever felt. I was still struggling emotionally about being fatherless until God revealed to me that He is my father and He will never abandon me, just like the Scripture says in Psalm 68:5 that He is the father to the fatherless.
Lastly, I just want to let you all know that God has changed me on the inside and outside. If He can change me, He is able to change your life too! He is a loving and forgiving God. Give Christ a chance just like I did and you will get to see the things that He can do in your life! Thank you, God bless!
